thursday treats

All fall I've been on the hunt for a vest, and i have yet to find one I love. Until this baby!!!! And wouldn't you know it's sold out in my size!!!! UGGH! I want to wear them now over sweaters while the weather is stil semi tolerable (but seriously snow flurries forecasted today!) But once the temps really dip, I want to wear them as an extra layer under my coats.

Have you seen any cool vests lately?! I may go the basic denim route to start, because I'm currently in a die-hard must have one mind set!

Taylor Loves: Mansur Gavriel

About 2-3 months ago, while I was perusing Net-a-Porter's new arrivals a new handbag caught my eye. I've mentioned it before & I am putting away pennies....And this ladies is what for! Mansur Gavriel. When I saw the simplicity, craftsmanship and quality of their bags, I was in love!

So after it quickly went out of stock, I started my research, and I fell even more in love with the brand!!! A goal to make quality, timeless bags - I love! And when I read their interview for the NY Mag, I was officially a fan!

Here is my favorite response!

And you're not concerned about keeping up with bag trends?
FG: I think this was basically how we try to live our lives. Being in this world where fashion has become so fast. I think it was just too much for me, being in the fashion industry. I don't know how to deal with this, it's just getting too crazy.
RM: We're not interested in keeping up with trends, we just want to make something that will be beautiful now and beautiful in ten years. Those are the only kinds of products that we want to make.

All I know, a black bucket bag will be mine! I  even read that a smaller version will be available soon! I'm ready!

Thailand, Bangkok Part 1

Thailand. Add it to your bucket list, and put a 'x2' on it! Because if your trip is anything like ours, you will want to go back again! We, honestly, found it hard to leave! The people, the culture, the 'feeling' we were surrounded with is one that still stays close to me today. I have been ready to get back on a plane, make the journey to the other side of the world & go back since the day we returned.

Read about the first 'mini' stop on our big summer vacation here.

Finally we arrived in Bangkok Thailand!!!! Hearts and minds open to experience everything we could! It all started with our train ride into the city!

We stayed at the Westin Grande Sukhumvit - we were greeted by the yellowist orchids I've ever seen! And a plate of the tastiest Asian fruits to nibble on!

Dinner.... our first meal happened to be a Japanese BBQ. HA!

Lot's more to come!!!!

lately

Lately.

{Upper Left, clockwise} Every chance or weather forecast above 68 means this lady is wearing exposed limbs!! Tanks, skirts, dresses you name it I'm doing it! I know that those days are in short supply up here. Boo. // After a long day, there is absolutely nothing better than snuggles (in sweats) from the ones you love! And a note of advice, make you you are comfy first cuz it's mighty hard to move without waking sleeping boys up!  // Went to the burbs to check out a new outlet, Barney's Warehouse!$!!! (I didn't find anything, well except for the on-sale Phillip Lim dress for $800 and that wasn't in the cards!) We were starving by the time we left and the rest is...burp... history! // Silk.Pants.Enough.Said. I've had these pants for about a month now, and I'd been dying to wear them to the office {Let's be twins, get yours!}. Not exactly the most corporate of outfits, however my schedule had me planted behind my desk for 98% of my day in meetings so no one was none the wiser, and I felt like I was in PJs!

What have you been up to lately???

thursday treats

Be still my beating heart............... I'm in love! I thought I had landed on my fall/winter purchase of a staple flat black bootie {the bottom pair}. Well folks we are at a cross roads! I'm in love with these Rag & Bone Driscoll Wrap booties. In.Love. .....well except for the price! :( I wasn't planning on spending that much on new booties. But now I'm debating holding out a few more months, saving loooots more and pouncing on a full-site sale (if I could find one!)  But what if they run out of my size?!?! ....can someone lend me $300?!

Help me find more flat black booties to love! Send your suggestions! Or should I just go with these???

Vacation Recap: Zurich

On our way to Thailand we had layover in Zurich. A nice 12 hour layover. Initially when we booked our flights I wasn't thrilled. What in the world would we do sitting at the airport for 12 hours?! Uggh. But since we were traveling so far, it ended up beyond perfect!!! We went and explored another city for a day! Stretched our legs!!!! Ate at a cafe and had the best time!

Zurich was so beautiful! Although we were there on the hottest day ever, it was over 90 degrees!

We bought the all day all rides pass to explore around! Took the train from the airport to the downtown area. Then we took the water taxi and just rode it all around the lake stops! Gorgous but that little water taxi was hot! After that we all wanted to dive into the lake, we cursed ourselves for not having a change of clothes because we would have!

I would 100% recommend adding an extended layover to any and every trip abroad if you can! It was 100% worth it! We were able to walk around before another extended flight (total plus), burn off some energy so we could sleep (again, major plus!) and we were able to include a mini-pit-stop free of charge into an already incredible trip!!! You can sure bet we will be doing this again! {Most large international airports have luggage storage (at a minimal fee) and even mini hotel-esque day-use rooms. So, you can shower and freshen up before you take off again!}

Black Out

1 // 2 // 3 // 4 // 5 // 6

Black. I will regret saying this aloud, I'm sure, but here I go..... My Mom and her nearly 100% black wardrobe might be rubbing off on me! Everything I'm really lusting after right now is black!!! {Mom, I know... you don't need to tell me how right you were! But please promise you'll add a little color one day?!}

Been looking at a lot of home decor, mainly, art lately. In hopes of finally getting something to adorn the walls in our new place, and everything I like is black and white! Thinking maybe a photo ledge, mini shelf and layering a group of images. Different sizes, subjects, assorted frames. Who knows, we'll probably have blank walls forever at this rate!

Oh those boots, bralette and bag are haunting me.....WANT!!!

Here are more BLACK items that are tickling my fancy!
