Happy Holidays!

I just wanted to wish you all the Happiest of Holidays! Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, Festivus, Hanukkah!!! Whatever you may be celebrating this season I wish you the best of it! I hope you all have a perfect holiday with your families and friends! Have safe travels, copious amounts of laughs (&wine!) and enjoy all the time spent with those you love! I am excited to see what the new year brings and wish you all nothing but the best!

As you saw earlier - I am spending the Holiday in the Caribbean with Santa and the rest of my family! I am excited ecstatic to have more than a few days off the grid with my man & Brother - the three of us seem to get into the best kinds of trouble! The ones that have 2 ganging up against 1 and crumbling in fits of laughter! I hope you have the most wonderful upcoming week & I'll see you all next week...err year! And hopefully without a sunburn! ;)

We are all Packed UP!

The Hubs and I are all packed up and ..... AWAY we go!!!!!!!!!!! err have gone!

The Hubs and I jetted south, way south!!! Away from the SNOW and cold and are currently cruising around in the Caribbean! Holiday's tropical style! YIPEE!!! I couldn't be more ready! Although I didn't do any big shopping for this trip, there are a few new ladies traveling abroad with me! My Suitcase looks a little something like this!!! {I have packed each of the below items - however not necessarily these specific ones, my personal items/in my closet are listed in italic! Cuz it's fun to see peoples purchases!}

Any one else having a tropical Holiday over the Holiday's?!!!! :)

**Yes I got those sandals - scooped them up from Nordstrom 60% off. I mean how could I NOT??!!! I can't wait to wear them - I just wish I had more dresses to wear with them, I may wear them every night to dinner!

What to Wear? Holidays 2012

It's crunch time baby, what to wear to the last of the Holiday parties. What to wear to Christmas eve dinner, Christmas day - you know all those various events that sneak up on you and you can't find the perfect holiday/festive outfit to wear?!  I surely always run into this!

Here are a few options to help you! Shop your closet, swap out an item or two, remix and you have yourself  more than outfit! Esp during the holidays when gifts take up precious space in your suitcase!

Starting in the upper left we have the most casual and going clockwise we get a bit dressier! I personally am pinning to recreate EACH! I do not own a red button down and I must now!!!! Must! & I must find a faux leather skirt (kicking myself for passing up a jem at F21!) - What are you wearing for the holiday?

thursday treats

With the first snow looming I want warm and cozy foods in my belly! Its currently raining cats and dogs here with forecast of 4-6 inches of snow by nightfall! I want to make something hearty to warm me up and give me a big hug! I've always dreamed of having a big pot like this - I think it'd be perrrrfect to make a soup!!!

What are some of your favorite soup recipes??? Please share! I just found this one and am dying to make it!

And yes mom I'm partial to the orange - you know that by now! :)

so yea it happened

so yea, it happened. I was a bad blogger. There I said it.

Work got in the way. Holiday Parties got in the way. Sleep got in way. Shopping got in the way. Life it does that sometimes. I don't like being away I like spending time with all you! But ce la vie!

I've alluded to changes and new projects at work a few times over the past few months. They just keep coming and I'll admit my geekiness - I really like it! I love being busy, I love being pushed mentally to find solutions come up with answers. Putting together raw data and making sense of it - finguring out a story it tells. Nerd alert!!! A total natural adrenaline high for me! But wouldn't you know it, by the time one gets home from a 9 or 10 hour day, the gym, near two hours of commuting, tries to spend time with their pet or Husband they just kinda crash?! Odd no? I mean lets see, there was last week when I woke on the couch at midnight still in my gym clothes with my dinner plate resting next to me. Or the morning where I sat down in the shower to shave because standing was 'just too much'...and then woke from a tiny nap. Oh yea that's been me!

But I'm dealing. I just kinda reached the point where burning it from both ends really caught up with me. I had the past two days off work, because I am that person who is about to lose PTO days bc I haven't taken all my days from last year yet! Oh yeah I still have a few more to go before 2013, man they must love me - all work no play ;)

In 2013 I am vowing to change that!

Also, can I just say I love Homeland !! (The TV show) I know I am late to game - I just got half of season 1 on Netflix.....I watched 4 hours straight yesterday. I am hooooooked!!!! I can't wait for the next DVD to arrive! I must know what happens!

How are you loves?!

dear taylor

....dear's been a while since I've done one of these, and last week I got a request for another! So wahoo here we go! Her email read : I recently purchased a fabulous new pencil skirt in navy however I wasn't able to wear it very many times before the temperatures dipped. And I'd really like to wear it again but with what tights?! What are the best color tights to wear with a navy skirt? I'm stuck!

OOO girl great question! I love me some navy ...slacks, sweaters, but skirts those babies in winter can be tough! So I know the feeling. It depends on where you work or where you are headed. For me personally in the corporate environment I stick to a sheer-er navy tight, so there is some difference between the solid opacity of the skirt and my leg. I love ones with tiny navy dots! {This reminds me I need another pair, my old ones died, darn runs!} Or a neutral light grey. Again in the corporate environment I don't have much leeway  However if you are in a more casual workplace or going out with friends  I'd suggest trying a deep burgundy/wine color.

For shoes, I'd stick to a neutral color, I wear my heeled brown penny loafers. I'm not afraid to channel the nerd I am! ;) But a great charcoal, or navy pump would work fabulously as well. (Eeps...I really really want the babies below....)

For all I'd opt to have a bit of sheerness to the tight and not an opaque tight. And I'm kinda loving dotty tights right now, add some spunk but don't scream I'm a kid. But you can try a charcoal sweater tight and chunky knit sweater - depending on the formal-ness of the skirt. The options are endless, once you figure out what you are working with!

I think I want to wear mine next time kinda like this!!!!

1. Blouse // 2. Earrings // 3. Lips // 4. Necklace // 5. Watch // 6. Da SHOES

*I think I need these shoes!!! Imagine them here....then paired with denim....and with skirts, and slacks...Oh MY! And I do not own blue pumps!!!

Some girls look so chic in hats! Maybe it is my curly hair {which always gets ruined minutes after I stick on on, meaning if I go hat on a curly day I can't take it off} or maybe it is my self imposed 'I have the hugest head ever' .... It doesn't stop me from wanting a new hat/beanie. Nope! I am currently addicted to finding one with an obnoxiously large ball on top! :) And now the weather is finally cold enough - I may snow today! I can finally bust mine out! Well on the weekend, I rarely wear one to work...hey the hair! I can't seem to look chic at work after pulling one off from my commute in....really I can't help but look like a walking rat's nest if I do! ;)

How do you wear your hats/beanies in the winter?

Shop some of my favorites!!!

Oh Santa Baby

Oh Santa Baby..... :) I always have the hardest time picking items for my Christmas list. I really love the gifts that friends and loved ones choose that they think I'd love. They are always perfect! Here are just a few items I wouldn't mine calling my own. Feel free to add any of these items to the list too!

I can't get that giant pom pom beanie outta my head, I may have to pick one up for myself! And yes I am still pinning over that dinning room table & Prada print! Oh and I'd die to have any one of Gray Malin's gorgeous photographs {I'd be hard to pick between one of the a la plages, Prada or new balloon/Up & Away prints! Clearly I haven't made any headway on getting a new dinning room set-up! I'd also love a new pair of jeans, a new cookbook, another coffee table book, or a fab blouse, and maybe a YSL statement ring! I mean if you are asking I might as well share my whole wish list right?!

What is number one on your list?!!!! DO TELL!

Gift Guide: lil LUXURIES

Was someone extra special and extra good this year??? Did Santa win the lotto? Sometimes a little luxuries for those you love are very necessary! I love treating those near and dear to me with items I know they wouldn't buy themselves!

Lulu Frost Tassel Necklace // Naughty Boy Cuff Links // Initial Necklace // Pom Pom Throw // Monagram Necklace // Mini Pashli Handbag // Red Wing Chukka Boots // RockStud Flats // Cannon Rebel T4i // Cashmere Beanie // Limited Edition EAMES Chair

I have the initial necklace and wear it daily, I honestly can't get enough. It is so delicate and wearable - perfect for all the ladies on your list (or your wife, or girl friend!). Gift Guide: Under $100

Ok so yesterday I thought that was my favorite, well....I really really love today's  I have been a very good girl Santy Claus... PROMISE! :)

Those books, that candle....the ring the canister! And a place setting for 2 to 4 (if you can catch the sale) - who wouldn't want gold flatware!?!??!!!!!  Rounding up some great items for those you love! So many unique gifts to put under the tree! I am partially to the books - I am a nerd at heart and have been slowly finding great (not only to look at) coffee table/display books. The content means something too! :)

Did you find anything you could use to check a special someone off your list?

Gift Guide: Under $50 - Stocking Stuffers

There have been gift guides galore allover in the interwebs already. I am either late to the game or really  I felt like people were rushing it!!! I had every intention of starting these last week, after Thanksgiving..... however last week was totes crazy pants for me at work! I love CHristmas, but personally have to wait until after Thanksgiving to get 'in the mood' (although I was done holiday shopping months ago!)  But my two projects are done, after a looooong day of work on Saturday! So I was finally able to breathe and format some posts for you loves!!!

In years past I have done different formats, check out last years holiday fun here!! (Looking back, man I'd still love some of those items, proof if you edit and narrow down a gift will be good for more than just a moment in time! Hello this entire one!)

This year I decided to sort them out by budget. We all have them, and sometimes you feel like "sticking to 'em" is the hardest thing ever! I occasionally fall into that boat, but it's mostly when I'm rushing. Without further ado....Here is my first gem: Gift Guide 2012, Under $50 & Some great stocking Stuffers! {Note: The gift Guides will include items for both the men and ladies on your list!....cuz we can't for get Dad or the Hubs  while out getting ourselves or our girlfriends some stuff ;) }

Personally this one might be one of my favorites!!! Quirky, thoughtful and unique! The perfect combo when picking out a gift! That little piggy bank would be perfect young to old, I'd personally write 'NEW PURSE!' or SHOES across her belly! And the fish corkscrew would be so fun for all the men on my list!

Deckin' the Halls

Things got festive round my parts this weekend!!! Man I love decorating for the Holidays! Bits of cheer everywhere I can around the house!!! This year, again, I opted against a tree, but went a differ route that last year (you can see last years Christmas decor here). This year I went with garland, and treated it like a tree!

I strung my homemade paper link garland, and hung ornaments through out. It looks really cute! Totally turned out better than I imagined! I'll have to get some better pictures (Apologies for the crappy quality iPhone, my camera was dead and I had no clue!). It may be missing some twinkling lights, but it makes up for it in charm!!! And the location, the archway leading to the kitchen, is seen from everywhere, so that makes me happy!

Also hung lights outside, and wrapped a sparkly red ribbon around my boxwood wreath on the back door! More people can see my backdoor than front, so I hung my wreath out here! Hey, someone has got to see I'm festive!

I love this bunting! Looks homemade, but thank you after Christmas sale at TJ Maxx a couple years ago! The Silver and gold mix is perfect, it goes with everything!

Have you decorated for Christmas yet? Put up your tree?

Turkey Meatballs

This time of year is the time I start looking at carbs like they are my bestest of best friends. Pasta, garlic bread, rice you name it. Hey I can't really help it when it's a mere 20 degrees outside my belly wants to be warm and carb full?! Doesn't yours???? Pheew so glad I'm not alone! ;)

Well I know that isn't the best for me nor my waist line. I want my hard work at the gym and barre class to pay off. Kinda my 'just say no to muffin top-ville' movement this winter! So in an effort to make weeknight meals easy for myself I've started prepping ahead on the weekends. This week Turkey Meatballs.

Made ahead of time, they are easy to heat up when I get home from work or the gym exhausted, and starving! I've paired them along side a big salad one night and steamed veggies another. And I have to say I'm pretty proud - I can't get enough of them!!

Ingredients :

* 2 lbs ground turkey - I ended up with 1.75lb of ground turkey breast
* 3 egg whites
* 1 cup quick cooking oats
* 1/2 tsp ground cumin
* 1/2 tsp dried thyme
* 2 tsp dry yellow mustard
* 2 tsp black pepper
* 1 tsp chayanne pepper - this ended up being a little much, if you don't like a small bit of heat, less is more, but I like it!
* 1 tsp salt
* 2 tbsp garlic powder or 2 fresh garlic, minced
* 1 small onion (finely chopped)
* 2 celery stalks (finely chopped)

Directions:1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
2. Spray pan with canola or olive oil.
3. Mix all your ingredients together in one large bowl.
4. Roll the mixture into balls and place on pan.
5. Bake for 35-40 minutes.

Makes 16-18 meatballs (I was able to make 18, I had to use one more small sheet to bake a few that didn't fit on the tray shown above)

*Ground white meat turkey is generally found to have less fat, cholesterol, calories etc than ground beef. But I am no expert, this is just basic knowledge I learned from web and food shows. :)

**Last night I had them along side a mixed greens salad with crumbled blue cheese, and a super small side of low fat blue cheese dressing to dip them in. Just enough to get a small hint of flavor and not to drench the meatballs.

How were your holidays?!! Did you do any black Friday shopping??? I didn't (per say). I partook via the web, from the safety of the warm house.....but I did take full advantage of the sale J.Crew was offering! 25% off goes a long way!!

Added a few small items I've been wanting forever! Treat to myself!

What did you get? Do tell!!!!

Wednesday, November 21, 2012

I hope each of you enjoy time away from the daily grind. To relax, & spend time with those you love. To reflect on what you are thankful for. If you do not celebrate, I hope you still enjoy the time away from work!

And good luck to all you crazy early AM black Friday shoppers! I may peak online but my day will consist of naps, couch time and the gym! :) See you after the holiday - taking time to gear up for the crazy last stretch before my projects complete. Yippee! Not! :)

fall acquisitions

Some recent additions to the closet. Well not all super recent, but purchases in 'fall-sih' time frame :)

Some people like seeing what others have bought, so I thought... I shall share (and ryhme!)! There are a few other items in there this sweater, this blouse, this sweatshirt,

Zara Jacket // Rag & Bone Harrow Booties // J.Crew Plaid // NYC Sweatshirt via Target (not online currently) // Glitter Nail Polish // Minnietonka Moccasins // Gap Skinny Camo // DV Booties

I love this jacket!! I can layer under it with ease, and the collar, oh how i love the huge collar! It was actually a gift from the Hubs!!! These booties are my hands down favorites shoes right now, I want to wear them everywhere, and try to restrict myself bc other shoes need attention! They are really comfy and I'm in love! I'm kinda having a plaid/sweatshirt moment recently. I love the way each of them slip in and out of different outfits with ease! This NYC baby is a new one to the mix, as was the one I shared yesterday. Pretty much I wear one plaid shirt a week to work, I wonder if ppl think I'm part lumber jack? hmmm...maybe I should limit the plaids.....nah!

I've been extending mani's and hiding chips by layering on glitter to my tips. great way to make them last longer! And these last two shoes have been my weekend hit list. The moc's could not be more comfy, I really want excuses to wear them daily! And I can say the same for these booties!

What were your favorite purchases for Fall/Winter?

*Editors Note (HA aren't I funny!) - Sadly these babies went back. Sob. I adore the style, height etc, just the color in real life was a bit too much. i'd blind coworkers if I wore them to the office. Which isn't the end of the world however, what fun are heels you can only wear 2 days a week - and lets be real I don't go out every weekend!

Monday, November 19, 2012

I've kinda been a sucky blogger lately. Not by choice, but things happen. This is all to my Mom's dismay I'm sure! I currently have two rather big projects running concurrently and will both roll-out the same day. So the to-do lists are long and the conference calls are endless! By the time this little lady gets home, if I haven't already dozed off on the train, I am barely making the swap into PJ's before passing out on the couch! No lie I think I went to bed at 9 every night last week.....and even Friday night! Old lady status!!

But I don't mind, I'm really enjoying what I'm doing (of course I wish I made more $ but... ) but something has to give. And sadly the blog is it. Normally I use lunch to start a post and the evening to fix it up and hit schedule post, but when one is passed out and sleeping those events don't really occur!! And this weekend really kept with that status. I woke up extra early each day and did a few chores then took a nap. Needless to say I slept a LOT this weekend. It was great!

But as for a swanky post, this is all I have LOL - life via instagram!

Comfy and casual Saturday!
Wearing: Pendleton Parka, J.Crew Sweatshirt, Joes Jeans, Minnietonka Mocs, Chloe Bag
The Hubs Homemade Metloaf!!!! Surprise Friday night dinner!

How were your weekends? Are you ready for Thanksgiving? I am - days filled with sweatpants and naps! Cheers to a short week!!!

tar-jay as they say

Target. Tar-jay, if you want to pronounce it all fancy-schmancy like. It's a beast that you love to hate or hate to love. It really goes both ways if I'm being honest! I can't ever leave without spending $50! It's like a new age urban legend or something, because I know I am not alone!

Well my new-ish found obsession on Instagram is.not.helping!!! If you don't know, thank/hate me later! I blame Tori for introducing me, but really I thank her (who you should follow on insta too, bc her fam is the cutest thing ever!!!!)!

Ok so back to my new obsession!!! On istagram there is a profile run by two of the cutest ladies, called 'Target Does it Again' {They also have a Tumblr, but I don't have tumblr so ....} And they feature the best little things from around Target, I continually think I need to won!!!

Focusing mainly on clothes, but also including anything from anywhere in the store to housewears to anything inbetween. Here are a few of my favorite recent posts!!! Enjoy!

Anyone else running to Target this weekend with me now?! :)

They always post the price and the Target brand, so it is easy to find in store!! Kinda also loving the loafers and fringy booties they just posted too! :)

i think it is over

I was just talking about how amazing the weather was, 65= in Novemeber?! So nice. Well folks....I think it is over. Yesterday was a balmy 35 and windy (so it felt so much colder!)!!! I think that last hoorah of decent weather is over ....til like April! SOB!!!!

But at least rocking plaids in all forms, beanies with giant pom-poms atop and embellished sweaters is to be expected!!!! I am going to jump all over all these band wagons!!! Loving all these very budget friendly buys of more trendy items. I think I could use all of them!!! :)

I am loving how lately with some 'editing' you can find items that look like their fancier retailer counterparts!! Items like these, that I wouldn't' see myself years season after season, I'm all about the saving!!! I can get my lamb sweater at a fraction of the price! And I am sorry the fox is just too cute! Ripped up jeans, plaid shirt under, boots and a parka?! Or what about with a wool pair of slacks in a lighter camel and a white button down, for the office?!

Monday, November 12, 2012

back to it

Back to the work-week grind after a spectacular weekend!!!!! I had the BEST time with my Mom, and really didn't want her to leave! We talked and shopped and laughed and just had the best time! {Mom you should really move closer!!!}

The weather this weekend was AMAZING!!!! mid 60's sun mixed with bouts of rain. It was wonderful, we left our jackets at home. And huddled around a few pitcher of Sangria to wait it out on Saturday. Then rewarded ourselves with some margaritas after a wonderful day shopping around town!

How were your weekends?!

happy friday

Happy Friday my loves!!!! First off isn't this pairing of colors great?! I love it! Would be perfect for the chilly fall weekend ahead (well at least that we will be having here in the Midwest!). I don't own any orange skinnies.....but this proves we all should! *wink wink* I am sure on an orange kick this week!

These past two week have been insane for me at work. The Hurricane and a huge deployment project all happening at the same time. They have left me with little free time or much energy but its ok, I really enjoy it! And to make the pending weekend any better.....I get to spend it with my Mom!!!! She'll be in town for the weekend, so-a shopping and cocktailing we will-a go!!! I can't wait!

Anything fun on your agendas? I can't wait to see James Bond personally (once Mom's visit is done) - I am a JB nerd, I blame my Dad!

pretty findings

All of the babies have made it into my fictional carts around the web lately!!!! I love them all!!! Still debating on these pumps (in this color or the bright orange-y red which are already on sale, so they will end up being more than 50% off original price!!!!! while JCrew has the 25% off sale going on.......gaaaah I want them so bad!)

I guess bundling up, cooking yummy food and getting ready for next year have been on my mind! What has made it into your fictional carts lately?!

Anyone else been majorly cleaning out their closets like me? I am so over all my really old sweaters/winter accessories, I want so many new ones! Like the v-neck sweater I wore yesterday, umm it is 6 years old!

Chilly days and 2 year old birthday party - call for a pair of the most comfy pants. I am so in love with these camo pants and have found just about any excuse possible to wear them!!! Head out and grab yourself a pair, you'll thank me later, serious so comfy and look so great on!

Grab my look here!

back to it

It's Monday. Back to the grid. Well really I've already been at it since yesterday. Blurg. (But yay for OT pay!!! LOL)

Part of the joys in working in a department where you support all the offices, Nationally. I've been in Hurricane Sandy prep mode. Moving meetings, trying to schedule meetings, planning to power off expensive video conference equipment, managing conflicts with the inability to travel. Trying to make sure all the Partners and Executives feel equally important yet realizing you can't make resources appear out of thin air for them. Yadda Yadda.

None if it is utterly important. Those who are in Sandy's path - those are the ones I worry about. For all my friends & family on the East Coast - Please oh PLEASE stay safe!!! I hope you are prepared and I hope Sandy is very nice to all of you!

Please stay safe!!!!!!

thursday treats

Mama has a big new infatuation.......Holy I need!!! When the Hubs and I went looking for a new rug, I finally took the time to look and play with these babies in the store. And I fell hard. The Hubs even said 'those are pretty cool, I like them' - which means I wont roll my eyes at you when they appear at home but you know we don't need another kitchen tool! I mean I loved them since....forever online, but in much more!!!! They are on sale right now, I need a place setting for 4 ASAP. I mean I don't yet have a table for 4, but I will! They wouldn't be our everyday silverware, but dinner parties beware!!

I love these so much I am tempted to not buy a blouse I've been saving for and get these instead!!!! Don't you agree that I need them

Zara Lately

While eating lunch (at my desk between conference calls) lately has been taken up with just jumping around the web and seeing what's new. Here are a few of Zara's 'New This Week' items that perked my interest. I am going to have to stop to the store to check some of these out. Namely that coat, blazer & funky sweater! But really all of them and everything else the store has to offer!

Time for a little shopping adventure!

Have you found anything good on the web lately? Any good articles to read? Things to check out? Let me know!

Neiman's + Target

I know the announcement of a Holiday Neiman Marcus and Target capsule collection is old news. But just a few weeks ago the sneak peaks of what will be for sale hit the interwebs (or your morning news shows). Given my work load the past few months, somethings I'm just a touch behind on.

But yesterday through the magic of the internet I was reminded. And boy was I forever happy!!! This collection is so fun! Some of the pieces don't interest me personally but some do! And all are so fun! Here are some of my favorites.

1- Oscar de la Renta Pet Bowl // 2- Marc Jacobs Scarf  $69.99 // 3- Alturzarra Old Fashion Glasses $49.99, Cocktail Shaker $49.99 // 4- Rag & Bone Men/Boys Sweater // 5- DVF Yoga Mat $49.99

These were a few of the items that stuck out to me! Although I could totally see myself with the Carolina Herra stationary or the Phillip Lim skateboard. I think 2, 4 & 5 are my favorites!

I updated my iPhone reminder, I had it set for the wrong day! Now lets see if I get up in time to hit the store early.....I am avoiding the 'net after the whole Missoni crash-la-webpage-nonsense. :) Did anyone else find anything they may want to pick up?

Did anyone get anything from the Nate Berkus collection - that hit stores this past Sunday?! I saw a gold vase, but had no place for it. So I passed.

for the days ahead

Ain't that the truth!!! Those rainy dreary days here in Chicago in Oct-Dec also come with much colder temps. Often accompanied by high wind and bitter breezes. Let's see...those exact items are foretasted for the next few days here in Chicagoland. Le Sigh.

One of my favorite parts of these kind of days are the easy excuses for staying in, snuggling up and listening to the pitter patter against the windows. When I do go out it's actually kind of fun (sometimes), I love to stomp in puddles. I might be 5! Even more, since layering weather is still 'new' for this year it is still enjoyable! And I'm all over it! I love pops of color poking out of neutral sweaters. Mixing prints - striped sweaters and checked shirt, yes please! Scarfs are your best friend, they can be styled up so many different ways - ultimately changing the way an outfit can look!

How do you make it through the rainy Fall days?

F&F Sale

At approximately 11:22am CT, while on my third conference call of the day I go the most fabulous email. The Shopbop Friends and Family sale!!! Queue the angels singing down from heaven, rays of sunshine from behind the clouds. Too much?

Ok. So really i got super excited! By 11:24 I was on their site filling up my cart. In roughly 10 minutes of browsing the 'New Items' I was ready to check out. With a $929 bill I might add.....Well really a mere $743 with all that savings!!!

Clearly my subconscious thinks I need more tops/blouses and simple accessories. I don't disagree. I would wear all of these in a heart beat. A heart beat I tell ya!!!! Work & play covered! #3, 6, 7 are my favorites. Those are still in my cart, after some heart wrenching editing. Now if only $352 extra bucks would appear in my bank account.

*Dreams of way to get these!*

Did you scoop anything up?!!! Do tell?!

bundled up

Fall is here, and I'm already thinking about winter! I want to be prepped and ready. Ready to fight the chill all cute & bundled up!!! I am not going to lie, my first few winters, I was solely trying to stay warm. That big ugly puffy North Face coat - god love her and her warming ways, but seriously she is so not cute. And she is now reserved for the snowiest, sleet-iest and ugliest of days. I'm totally cool with admitting I let winter win. Or rather commuting in winter win. Hey, I was raised in San Diego, and if you weren't aware it is warm enough to go to the beach on Christmas day there, we don't worry or know how to do 'this'. So this has been and still is a learning experience for me! But not any more.

Since last year, I've vowed to step up my winter game. I grabbed two amazing coats last year on super sale! And started the process of updating to better winter accessories. Head over and visit Heidi and see the few pieces I'm hoping (no going!) to stock up on before we say good bye to 40's-50's......and hit 20-30's. SOB!  I'm hold down fort for her while she vacations....lucky girl!
