About once a year I have a hair-lema. I'll be in 'I'm growing my hair long' stage and doing fine but maybe a tad frustrated because it never seems to grow. Then I spot images like this and I want to chop the little 'long' length I have all off.
And I know it's the same story every time. It's all fun and cute - the cute-I-like you feeling lasts about a week or two. Then it's all BOO! I regret it because I really want that long long hair again.
Or I see images like this, and think why?!
Just in a hair rut I guess! Am I alone, how do you resist the scissors - or better yet: How can I make my hair longer faster?!
Kicking off what will sure be a fun long weekend with a trip to salon this morning! Will be followed 4 days of out of town friend fun, group dinners, drinks (lots) and a Football game {Go CHARGERS! Boo Bears!}

I totally feel you, Taylor... I always see photos of great styles and want to achieve them but then I get it cut and cry a little inside.

i read somewhere that using biotin oil can help and that mane & tail shampoo really work (i think it's available at cvs and other pharmacies). that being said, i feel your pain! but to have hair like that pic of jessica biel would be amazeee! enjoy your long weekend, especially the game! so fun to tailgate!
ReplyDeleteI take biotin and hair vitamins from solgar. They work well in adding length, although they're not the miracle you may be looking for. I'm always in a hair rut, because I have really thin hair that I constantly wish was thicker...
ReplyDeleteI go through the same thing lady, only with color! Every single fall I tell myself I want some sort of rich auburn-y color, and I hum & haw and people talk me out of it, so I stay blonde year round. One of these days I'll take the plunge... I do LOVE Olivia's hair here though, so soft & swingy! But am definitely a long hair fan in general!
ReplyDeleteI can completely relate. If you're one of those girls who can pull off both looks then I say just go with it! It will always grow back. If you're looking for better results I hear prenatel vitamins hair growth are awesome for that (I know, it's kind of weird).
ReplyDeleteHaha, I love the title of this post. I can totally relate, hair choices can be such a difficult decision!
ReplyDeleteI get the same thing - I grow it out all year & then chop it off during the summer heat wave. It's a vicious cycle!

Story of my life! I spend years growing out my hair, only to (quickly) get tired of taking care of it and chop it off, and immediately regret it and work on growing it back -- over and over again. I'm about half way through that cycle right now!
ReplyDeleteI have the opposite problem, I never want a haircut! I'm a bit too obsessed with my long hair. I've heard that prenatal vitamins are the best way to get your hair to grow faster. And I use olive oil on the ends about once a week!

My vote is to hang in there and grow it! So worth it! But I am biased as I always think that EVERYONE looks better with long hair...
ReplyDeleteI have a hair post going up next week, but I'm actually chopping mine similar to OP's that you posted! Very excited...and who am I kidding, a bit nervous, too. If you really want long hair, just be patient, resist- it will grow!
ReplyDeletei'm currently trying to grow my hair out and my best pick-me-up is to go and get the layers cleaned up and the ends trimmed a tiny bit. it has worked so far to prevent me from chopping it all off!

Omg I'm going through the same thing! Loved my lob for a while, but now I'm dying for my long, full hair back!!! I guess we just have to be patient : ( BOO!
ReplyDeleteSame story here. I went to get a haircut last night and I wanted to cut it all off, but I was strong and I only got 1 inch off, I've been growing out forever. So stay strong and be patient.
ReplyDeleteHere's a tip: cutting down on meat makes your hair grow faster. :)

stay away from heat styling - that helps my hair grow faster and allow for less cuts :)
ReplyDeleteI totally relate to the hair-lemma!! I go back and forth back and forth. Now after looking at these pics I want the girls hair with the head scarf on...FAB!!!!!!!
