Pierced

I have an earring thing. I am very set in my earring ways... where all other jewelry I change color and style not my earrings.

I've had my ears pierced for as long as I can remember. And for just that long I have worn the same style of earring, daily - a stud. Either a diamond stud or a gold/silver ball. I solely blame my Mom, she wouldn't allow hoops or any dangly earrings, nope, no she wouldn't! Sorry Mom, You know this is true!*

I don't know how many countless pairs of earrings I have purchased over the years in attempts to cross over - lots of big dangly stunners. I put them on only to take them off less than an hour later, they all get tossed in my purse by the time the first drink arrives or as soon as I get to work. I guess I've never been able to get used to the feeling of a heavier earring swinging about. Call me crazy but I can't!!! They usually end up donated to a friend, Mom or Goodwill.

Then two new pairs came into my life, and now I happily rotate!!!

  3. I'm a stud girl myself, as well. Except my story is opposite of yours...i've always worn hoops and dangly earrings until last year when I received a beautiful pair of diamond studs and those have not come out since!

  6. I can relate to this post way too much. I was allowed to pierce my ears when I was 13 but my dad made me literally sign a contract that I would never get another piercing again. Upon my 18th birthday... I got 2 double pierces, 2 cartilage pierces and a nose pierce. OOOOPS. Such mistakes! Anyways, love your new earrings!

  7. I'm the complete opposite! The bigger, the better. I feel strange with tiny earrings on, like I'm too big for them or something.

  8. I tend to keep it pretty simple -- I like studs with some kind of special detail. And I LOVE JewelMint. Those earrings are gorgeous!

  9. Ever since my husband got me a pair of Me & Ro studs last year, I've found that I'm totally a stud girl. Like you, every time I try to wear bigger earrings, they get tossed in my purse. Luckily my hair is short so you can usually see whatever studs I'm wearing.

  10. Oh so many similarities. Earrings bother me - if its not a stud, it usually doesn't last the day. I also did the belly button thing (stupid, stupid teenager). I haven't worn it in err 5+ years yet the hole remains.

  11. oh the ever famous belly button ring! I had to have one and then I took it out 2 months later! And I still have a damn hole! Oh to be young again is right...! I absolutely LOVE the earring that the hubs got you...although I'm not surprised since he is such a fashionista! xoxo

  12. Both are very cute! I feel incomplete if I leave the house without earrings. I probably wear silver hoops most often. Oh, I remember those teenage days of multiple piercings...what were we thinking?!?

  14. love those new earrings! i used to rotate my earrings all the time (and I did have second holds a while back, too), but i've been stuck in the diamond stud rut for two years, every since my daughter was born. Need to take out all the others I have. LOVE your two new ones.
